Premier Iain Rankin and Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health, announced further restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 today, May 7.
The NSREC attended two meetings with Dr. Strang, government officials, and the NSAR. The industry specific directives addressed in those meetings are as follows:
In keeping with the provincial government's recommendations regarding COVID-19, the Commission office will close Monday, April 26, 2021 at 4:30pm until further notice. Staff are working remotely.
Effective April 22 at 8 a.m., people from outside Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador will not be allowed to enter Nova Scotia unless their travel is essential or they are permanent residents of Nova Scotia.
Join us at the Commission's Annual General Meeting (AGM) this morning, April 22nd, beginning at 10am. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom and we will review the work of the Commission in 2020.
